Variety is Key 

When it comes to maintaining a healthy diet, it’s important to choose restaurants that offer variety. Restaurants that offer a wide selection of foods will have more healthy options than restaurants with a limited menu. At Basta Pasta, our menu is filled with healthy and delicious options! On the Side 

If you order a dish that comes with a creamy dip or sauce, ask to have it served on the side. Even small amounts of sauces can add unnecessary calories to a healthy meal. Consider a healthier condiment option altogether. For example, if a Chicken Wrap is served with mayonnaise, ask for mustard or lemon juice instead!

Ask Questions 

Your server knows the menu better than anyone, so don’t be afraid to ask them questions regarding the food. They might not be able to accommodate special requests, but they can help steer you in the right direction. If it isn’t listed on the menu, ask how each dish is prepared. It’s best to avoid fried foods and opt for broiled or baked instead. 

Take It Home 

If your portion size is larger than you expected, ask for a to-go box! Cut your dish in half and save the rest for tomorrow’s lunch or dinner. Cutting the dish in half first will help you control the amount of food you’re enjoying. Besides, you want to save enough room for dessert!

Share the Dessert
