Read on to discover how to make the best homemade pie.

Make the Sauce from Scratch

The best pizzas require a tasty dough and an amazing sauce. Rather than cracking a can open, make the marinara from scratch! Gather the following ingredients: ¼ cup olive oil, one yellow onion, four cloves of garlic, ¼ cup of red wine, eight cups of diced tomatoes, and seasons to taste. In a large saucepan, saute the onion in olive oil over medium heat until softened. Add the garlic and saute for a minute longer. Add the red wine and simmer until the liquid has evaporated. Next, stir in the tomatoes and seasonings such as oregano and fresh basil. Once the sauce cools, use a blender to puree the sauce. Transfer it back to a saucepan and simmer for thirty minutes or longer, depending on your preference.

Use Your Hands

Rolling the dough with a rolling pin may be fun, but it crushes the gas out of the dough. Instead, gently stretch the dough with your hands. Using your hands requires patience, as you don’t want to overstretch the dough to the point of breaking. Cover your hands in flour, and while holding the dough, gently press onto the perimeter of the dough and allow gravity to do its work.

Embrace Full-Flavored Cheese

In the conquest for physical health, we often purchase low-fat dairy products such as skim milk and low-fat cheese. When it comes to making a delicious pizza, it’s best to embrace the full-flavored cheese varieties. Full-flavored cheese provides a better melting coverage than its low-moisture counterpart. If you don’t eat cheese, you can still make a delicious pizza without it! By omitting certain ingredients, such as cheese, you can make a delicious vegan or vegetarian creation!
