Warm up your dinner parties with some of these exciting seasonal cocktails!

While fall is usually all about the food, it is important to remember that there is a lot of fun to be had with your drink choices. While your mornings may be devoted to pumpkin spice coffees and your afternoons to warm apple cider, there is a wide world of exciting fall cocktails to explore also. Warm up your dinner parties with some of these exciting seasonal takes on traditional cocktail recipes.

Pumpkin Beer Float

If your falls are ruled by pumpkin, give this surprising idea a spin. Start with a pumpkin beer poured over vanilla or chocolate ice cream (or why not try both?), and top it all with cinnamon. Give it a try and it might become your new fall favorite for beer pairing.

Hot Buttered Rum

This drink is something of a classic, but you may never have actually tried it. Now is a great time. This drink starts much like your favorite cookie recipe: 1 stick butter, 2 cups brown sugar, and spices (like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamon) creamed together. Place 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture (save the rest for later in the fridge or freezer) in a cup and top with a few ounces of rum and ½ cup of hot water.

Apple Mojito

The mojito might be the quintessential summer drink, so this fall version is a great season transition drink. Celebrate the favorite fruit of the fall season with this refreshing blend of Apple juice, rum, simple syrup, mint leaves, and club soda.

Pear Mimosa

Swap out the summery orange juice of a traditional mimosa with a different favorite fruit of fall: pear. Add pear nectar to the traditional champagne and then top with some thyme for a delicious fall treat at brunch.

Caramel Apple Martini

The ingredients in this drink come together in a simple but delicious drink. The caramel apple martini is a mix of apple schnapps, butterscotch schnapps, Bailey’s Irish Cream, and milk. Decorate the rim of the glass with a little coarse sugar and cinnamon for a traditional martini look.

Bourbon Salted Caramel Milkshake

If you’re looking for a delicious drink that’s more like dessert, look no further. This liquid dream is a blended mix of ice cream, bourbon, bourbon caramel sauce, and milk. The bourbon caramel sauce is a decadent mixture of sugar, cream, butter, bourbon, vanilla, and salt. Decorate the glass with a little caramel sauce before you fill it for added pop.
