What we like even more about our wine menu is that there are new studies that show that drinking a glass of wine can actually be healthy for you. While of course, everything must be consumed in moderation, but let’s see what these studies had to say about our favorite Italian beverage.
Columbia University conducted a study spanning over eight years to find that those who consumed a healthy amount of wine are actually reducing their risk of experiences strokes due to blood clots. Journals of Gerontology published a study that explains how consuming a moderate amount of wine can help lower an individual’s morality rate by thirty-four percent when compared to those who consume other means of alcohol.
Red wine has been shown to also reduce the risk of colon cancer by nearly forty-five percent when compared to those who don’t consume wine. A study conducted by the Medical Center of VU University located in Amsterdam showed that those who consume wine had a thirty percent less chance of developing type two diabetes throughout their lifetime when compared to those who don’t consume wine. Another Columbia University study found brain activity within those who consume wine won’t slow as progressively as compared to those who don’t drink wine.
It is important to keep in mind that wine should be consumed moderately and responsibly. Drinking wine in large amounts can offset the health benefits that were described above.
